Sure you can always take the
all-inclusive resort pablum route where they do everything for you. But then when they transport you out of their resort you will not be taken to the real Negril nor to the fine Jamaican places in Negril that offer better authentic fare than theirs.
You can also hire cheap
shared route taxis to carry you around in Negril but how will you know if they are driven by safe drivers? Most of them fly down the road at high speeds that can be dangerous and unnerving just in order to meet their high daily vehicle rental quotas. Some of them will also rip off tourists with demands for unexpected high fares when the ride is over.
